1. Is your character willing to have sex and able to give informed consent?
Yes.

2. What is the wish your character made? Why did they make it?
Maedhros wishes the oath he made to be undone. To no longer have his or his brothers souls and fates tied to a thing they never should have sworn in the first place. A thing that, since they ultimately were always doomed to fail, will see them condemned to the Everlasting Darkness for.
It’s the only thing he’s truly wanted for a very long time now and he’s well past the point of caring how he accomplishes it. He’s already lost everything else and he’ll be damned if he let’s an opportunity to salvage what’s left pass him by just because of prudishness.

3. How will your character initially react to Decadia's setting?
Seeing as elves are a bit puritanical by nature it will be a bit of a culture shock for him, there’ll also be a slight edge of indignance from him at seeing something so private being turned into a public spectacle.
He’ll also be kind of appalled he’s supposedly going to be observed the entire time and at the same time very curious about just how that even works since they don’t really have that kind of technology where he’s from.
But he is, at heart, a pragmatic man and he’s already broken far more serious social norms for far worse reasons. He also does not consider himself to be in any position to stand in judgment over how other people conduct themselves, not after what he’s done.
He’ll be somewhat uncomfortable about it all at first but he’ll loosen up in time.

4. What are you most interested in doing with your character in Decadia?
I kind of want to set him on a journey of self-discovery and self-acceptance through different kinds of CR, whether smutty or not.
always had to define himself by whatever role he needed to fill. His father’s oldest son, prince, king, warlord, brother, kinslayer… I want to give him a chance to develop into a fuller, more mentally healthy character away from all the obligations and responsibilities he had in his own world.
I’d also like to let him explore his sexuality a bit. He grew up in a very sexually conservative society where a lot of the things he’s actually into just isn’t done or, at least, aren’t done openly and needs to be kept secret.

5. What aspect of sex appeals to your character the most?
The intimacy.
Even if there is no love involved he much prefers there to at least be something more than just simple lust involved. Like friendship or even just mutual respect. Sex devoid of these things does not entirely appeal to him.
While he may not be as bound to the laws and customs of his people as most elves are he’s still influenced by them. While he does not believe sex should only be between married couples in a union meant to last forever he does not think it should be entirely frivolous and hedonistic either. He wants something more out of it than just simple physical release.

6. What kinks does your character have, known or unknown to them? Why do they have those particular kinks?
A lot of his kinks are things he’s not even aware of himself as, despite the fact he’s several thousands of years old, he has not had a lot of time or opportunity to really explore himself like that. Like the fact that he’d not mind a bit of objectification or exhibitionism with the right sort of person involved.
He does know that he likes to be treated a bit roughly, for there to be a bit of pain involved. He also, strangely enough, likes to be tied up but only when he truly trusts the one he’s with.
With others, though, he likes to be softer and gentler than how he wants others to handle him. He wants to praise and pamper and cater to their wants and wishes, he especially likes when they order him around as well. He actually has something of a fealty kink and wouldn’t mind roleplaying a vassal-lord type of relationship in bed.

Personality: Dutiful: Maedhros is in many ways defined by his sense of duty. He is not so much concerned with what he wants to do but what he feels he needs to do. It is why he swore the oath to begin with and why he pursued it so zealously, why he gave the crown away in order to prevent a civil war between his people and his uncles. As such he also has a very poor view about anyone he feels is neglectful of their own duties, viewing them as thoughtless, arrogant and frivolous.

Proud: Like the rest of his family he suffers from an overinflated sense of pride and, though it is a bit more tempered than the rest of his family, it can at times make him very difficult to deal with. He can be a bit condescending at times, mostly to humans since he considers even the oldest of them to be so very young and at times he treats them very much like children. Admiting he is wrong about something is very hard for him and so he tries to be a bit more careful with his actions so he does not have to do so too often.

Stubborn: Maedhros is the kind of person that when he's decided upon a course of action he will stick to it no matter the consequenses. It is a quality that has at times both served him well and completely ruined his life. Without his stubborn refusal to let Angband break him he would likely not have survived as long as he did, nor would he have been able to hold his lands when most others fell during the Bragollach, but it is also why he refused to surrender to the Valar at the end or to simply give up on the oath.

Diplomatic: He has always prefered to solve his problems by compromising wherever it is possible. Even when it came to people he greatly disliked he always tried to solve the problem peaceably before resorting to violence. Having to mediate between the forceful personalities of his younger brothers have also made him rather skilled at conflict resolution. A lot of this stems from the similarities he has with his mother, for just like her he is less interested in enforcing his will on others and more interested in coming to a greater understanding of them.

Brotherly/Fatherly: Growing up as the oldest child in a very large family made Maedhros very fond of children and he has a tendency to take them under his wing when he comes across any unattended ones. At times his fondness for them allows them to walk all over him. He is completely incapable of not caring for the children around him, even the most meanspirited or violent ones.

Depressed/PTSD: The oath has taken a huge toll on Maedhros, both mentaly and emotionaly, and he is in many ways a shadow of his old self. Prone to despair and dark moods, he is filled with regret at the actions he took in pursuit of the silmarils. The things he has gone through has left him an emotional wreck, something he makes a big effort to hide from others, but there are times when old memories overwhelm him and sometimes blurr the lines between past and present for him.

Heightened senses: As an elf Maedhros has much keener eyesight and hearing than a normal human. Elves are also swifter and stronger than a baseline human.

Ósanwe: Elves have some telepathic abilities, so Maedhros can talk mind-to-mind with peple should he wish to. It is, however, something he would consider rude without express permission from others so it is not something he will do out of the blue.

Light: Light tends to stick to elves, and Maedhros grew up under some rather impressive sources of it so he is an exeptionaly glowy elf. His eyes in particular tend to glow like there is a fire blazing behind them.

Songs of Power: Song is a powerful force in Arda and elves can wield it to influence the world around them. They are not Maedhros's area of expertise, but he can manage some rudimentary ones like sparking a fire, creating some small illusions and influencing the moods of those around him with the Song.

Suitability & Plans: My plans for Maedhros is for him to get to work through some of his trauma, in a way, and start something like a healing process for himself. He is a man that has gone through a lot of horrors, and not all of it has been by his own making, and since he's been living in a constant state of war he hasn't had the time to come to terms with it. It would be interresting to take him from a broken man to someone that has found some sort of peace within himself. Maedhros will probably begin a bit standoffish, but he's never been able to really help himself from getting involved with those around him.
